Those are my super-heavy ultra-cheap 17x9 autocross wheels... 40lbs each!!! Yeah, they suck, but they're the only low-cost 17x9 on the market. Anything else starts at 3x the price of these, or requires adapters.

Some day I'll have some forged lightweight wheels, but the ones I want are $800 each... so for now, these at $90ea will have to do.

My first autocross of the year is this Saturday! Can't wait!!!

I just ran my second autocross. Man having a matched set of tires all around made a huge difference. Car doesn't understeer like a boat anymore. Something about these wheels looks so menacing. I need to post some pics up, but I ended up with the Nitto NT-05 in 275/40 17 all around. Let me know how the Dunlops do I saw a guy with some this past weekend. Looks great. Take some pics of the sidewall so we can compare the 265 Dunlop vs the 275 Nitto.

Have fun at the autocross. Drive it like you stole it!!

I've been running in the Novice class. No idea where I will end up after my novice runs are over. SCCA allows 3 times or a trophy.

Way to go Amigo! You're really rockin' that race car style- I'm digging it!

Your car looks bad ass with the black wheels. Go get em!! Show them these old chevelles can handle.

Looks amazing. I know what you feel like, seems all the good 17s are expensive. I'm always amazed how people get 275s to work. I think my 235s rub at full steering. My car has stock control arms, eibach springs, 0 offset 15s with 235/60/15. Does anyone with the 275/40/17s rub? inside or out? what offset, height of car?

They are 17x9 with 5" backspace. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3428934/

I did have to use 1/4" spacers in front to clear the C5 'vette calipers though.

With my very low ride height, the front tires are pretty tight on the outside at the top of the wheel arch, but I run enough camber that it's not a problem... would have been nice to have that 1/4" of clearance I lost with the spacers.

Derek was there actual interference with the caliper? I'm running the Kore3 brackets up front and billet hubs and just barely clear the caliper with no spacer.

They interfered with the caliper abutment...

I like them. If I weren't running the vette wheels, it would be these "D" or the soft 8's.

Derek, Wouldn't the pic look better with a column of smoke rolling off the hides? What better way to break in new tires and roast off the mold release agent!

Looks killer. I need to lower my rear half somehow. These rear springs I have aren't as low as I'd like them.
