I just ordered my new aluminum rad from Alumitec (thanks Don) and I am trying to figure out if the new aluminum one holds the same amount, more or less water than my factory 4 core brass one. I know the aluminum one is 20lbs lighter empty but I am curious of total weight savings, if any?
Anyone know the capacity difference?

Ahh..
Do you have the radiator out of the car? If so you could weigh both of the radiators without water (on a bathroom scale) then fill each with water, plugging all the outlets, then you could get the approximate weight of the two solutions.
Then we could look up the weight difference between antifreeze and water.

good idea .. step 2 fill the rad with rad cap on laying its back .. no need for plugs .. drain into a bucket and weigh the bucket of fluid + weight of rad = total .. also this will tell you if a 4 row rad holds the same or less fluid ..may be close ??
maybe if i get a extra min or two .. I can fill a rad .. weigh it and check the fluid amount .
any weight off the front end of the car means tons to the strip racers , so they have told me
