Anyone try these? Quality??? Don't see them around at all and thought it might be a nice alternative to TT2s.

Just ordered new wheels. The local dealer could not get my preferred Edelbrock 409s in 17x8 (only 16x8), so I ordered Eagle Alloys Series 211 with mounted new tires from www.1010tires.com... (http://www.1010tires.com...) http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

I was thinking of these same wheels for my 66 Chevelle (or the Intro Vistas, but they are a little more expensive).

I spoke with Edelbrock, and they said the wheels (17X8) will fit on the Chevelle, because they put them on their 67 Chevelle...

They have a classic 5-spoke design...

I originally wanted Torque Thrusts, but they are everywhere...

There is a TC'er with a black / white stripe 71 (I believe) thats running these but I think hes running 15's, maybe 16's. Anyhow, they look bad arse to me! I have his ride as my wallpaper. Spicey lookin pieces. Little bit of new school with an old school chaser. I dig em.

Tony, great choice for your ride. Would be sweet to see those. The vistas are pretty gnarly too, I was thinking about 18's on mine after the brake / spindle change.

quote "I originally wanted Torque Thrusts, but they are everywhere..." yep they are the belly button cragar SS of Y2K but they are sweet looking. I can geet AR rims for damn near wholesale through a friend but instead I bought Weld Rodlites just because I don't see them on street machines too often. I love the look. only 15" for my budget though. DAVE

rossy,
those rodlites are nice looking wheels, and as soon as i can get my hands on some they are going on my 71 chevelle. I figured they will make my car stand out even more. It's in the body shop now, zinc yellow w/black racing stripes, with BF Goodrich T/A's. 275/60/15 on back, 225/70/15 on front. Do you have any pic's yet? Would love to see the car with those rodlites on. Thanks

I like some of the new Edelbrock wheels but what I don't like is the little plastic tag on the front of the wheel that says Edelbrock, to me that ruins a clean wheel and is just cheesey advertising.

Crossy, reproduction Torq Thrust wheels are every where, the vintage Torq Thrust are a different story. The vintage wheels don't look anything like the reproduction wheels other than the fact they have five spokes.
