I need to put the core back into the heater box. Where do the three pads go? I can tell were the clips were, and the large foam piece with 2 holes is obvious. I looked in service manual and assembly manual but did not see it. This is a non ac car if it matters. And lastly, do you have to use a gasket set for reassembly or can strip caulk be used instead?Thanks for you help.

Hey David!!!

It has been so many years since I took mine apart, and it's AC box so I can't answer those questions.......... Maybe foam for the flapper doors?

But you can use silcone to reassemble it. Chances are you won't ever take it apart again.
