i have a 70 Chevelle with the stock air shocks in the back, well atleast replacement for teh originals so i can play with ride hieght. im looking to fit a 295/60R15 on my 15x8 rallys. will it work with out having to modify the body or wheel well. thanks in advance.

I don't think anyone makes a 295/60/15 the biggest 60 is a 275/60/15.

I have 275 60 15 on 15x7 wheels on my 66 no problem with fit. I think Tony posted he fit 295 50 15 on his 66 convt on 15x8 rear wheel.

A 295/50/15 will fit on that wheel. I have the same tire on some 15x8 weld draglites with 4.5" backspacing.
Everynoe and then i might get a small rub on the fender lip, but i'm not too worried about it

EDIT: You mention you have air shocks. You should have no probmel with the rubbing. Mine is lowered about 1.5" and i still hardly ever rub.

thanks alot i guess i did mean the 295/50R15.

I do run the 295-50/15 on my 66 convertible (15X8 rallys),
BUT, I had to have the rims custom offset to center the wheel in the well...
