What color are the 71/72 SS wheels supposed to be painted on the inside? Were they Charcoal Grey on both side of the wheel?

Wonderful question, I wish I had the answer. When I had mine painted in the spring in polyurethane, the body shop recommended a nuetral silver I believe, but I do not know if it is correct. You may want to post this in either the body shop or the restoration forum. You may get a more accurate answer. A word of advice that I did not do, before spending the money on repainting, have them spun on a balancer and verify they are perfectly straight & true. I have one that has a dent in it & I get a minor vibration. HAVE IT CHECKED FIRST
