: Back in the game
SpartyChevelle Apr 28th, 10, 12:08 PM Hi all! Had to get rid of my 69 Malibu about 12 years ago and I've been itching to get another Chevelle ever since. I got it when I was 18 and she wasn't in the greatest condition (Michigan car) but it was a 1 owner (little old lady) car with 69,000 miles....but it was a nice car for an 18 year old.
So finally a couple of weeks ago I managed to pick up a 69 SS. Unfortunately it needs a lot of work (it's a nice looking car, just needs some electrical and mechanical work) and with a 2 and 3 year old and a wife that works weekends, I don't have a whole lotta time to work on it myself so I've had to take it into a local shop to get it ready for cruising.
Still a long list of things that need to be fixed, but eventually all the gremlins will be worked out of it.

SpartyChevelle Apr 28th, 10, 12:50 PM Thanks guys, I'll get some pics posted as soon as I can. Going home tonight to look for some build sheets (saw some locations for them on another thread). It doesn't have a matching no's engine, so I'm hoping I can find something that proves it is indeed an SS.

Oh boy, I wanted a driver but man the closer I look at it the more I see how this car has been butchered over the years (mostly the interior/dash). I don't really see anything that proves it's not a true SS, but I don't have anything that proves it is indeed a SS.
