: 5 on 5 bolt pattern ?

I saw a set of alluminum alloy wheels off of a newer GM vehicle, and thought they might look pretty good on my Elkie - an interesting alternative to Rallies or Cragars. However, they have a 5 on 5 bolt pattern. Is there any easy way to make these fit? Are there any newer model brake drums that I could just swap out? Not worth the trouble? Thoughts or ideas?

The wheels w/tires are being sold by a company on ebay for $470 which I think is pretty reasonable - not much more than a new set of tires. You can see them at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1851703645

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to make them work. To change the bolt pattern would require to either change the rear axles or have the them re-drilled for the 5x5 bolt pattern, not to mention the front brakes. Don't use wheel adapters either, they are not safe.

See if you can find a set of rims from an S-10 or S-10 Blazer, those would have the right bolt pattern. However, double check the backspacing.

Thanks Steve. I didn't think it'd be that easy.

The only way to change the rear bolt pattern is to replace the axles... not really that hard, but gets expensive. For the fronts, you could try a rotor from an early big car to see if it fits the Chevelle spindles... assuming you have front disk brakes. Or, you could always do the B-body spindle swap and then it would be a breeze!
