I just purchased a rough 69 convertible, 350ci/auto trans. The tires and wheels are a set of unsafe, mismatched tires and wheels (14 and 15 inch, various backsets). My question:
As I intend to make this a daily driver, in say a year or two (after a paint job), what can you suggest I buy to make the car look as close to original in appearance, using contemporary wheels and radial tires. There seem to be so many choices and combinations, but since I'm on a budget I'd like to buy "pre-owned" and then later buy the "good stuff". In the meantime I can learn from this forum about what would be the ultimate for my tastes. Thanks for your ideas (wheel size and type, backsets, tires dimensions)!

well i would go with a set of rallies for the time being and then work on what you really want. i have a set of pre-owned rallies that i was thinkin of selling cause a buddy of mine gave a set of original five spokes for helping him move into his house.my 71 is a daily driver but at the time it is parked collecting dust until i am done with the NEW ENGINE.
