I think its 295/50/15 or 295/60/15 with a 10" rim.
I have run upto 325/50s on my 68 with a 10 inch rim and 5.5 inches of backspace. The 325s needed a slight(1/2 inch maybe) whell well lip roll which I was unwilling to do to my car. I currently have 305/50s on the same rims and they are almost perfect. I only get a slight rub that basically squeegees off the tire dressing. I have also run 295/50s on an 8 inch rim with 4.5 inches of BS and there was no rubbing. Pics on website show 325s and 295s. the 275/60s were pulled to go wider and they rubbed but that was due to not enough BS. Any specific questions ore info request shoot me an email if you want. Good Luck http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

It also depends on if you have your car raised or lowered in the rear.I have a 2" drop in the rear so i don't think the 305's or maybe even the 295's would fit.
What do you have 18chevelle468?

I have 15 x 10's with 275 60 15's and the car rides pretty low and I still have plently of room. I would say a good 1-2 lower than it should be from stock…

Hands down the biggest I have seen in stock inner fender wells is a 15 x 10 with a 5.5 BS.
The backspace is the measurement between the inside lip f the rim and the inside mounting surface.
Do you plan on racing the car at all?
