does anyone know if the maximum pressur stated on the tire is when the tire is cold or hot, and if cold does air expansion taken into consideration? it would make sense that it wuold be considered when giving a max pressure rating, but im not sure.

specs are given for a cold tire. nothing else to consider other than determining what pressure you are going to run. Some state follow the tire specs, some state to follow the specs for pressure listed on your car, some just make their own rules. I set my Goodyears at 32 psi cold.
