I'm not sure how this is done, but I'd like to replace one of the valve stems (I think that's the name, it's the rubber tube that sticks out of the wheel)on my car, I had a tire replaced separately from the others a while back and it's got a different stem. Can I replace that thing with the tire still mounted(deflated of course)? Where do I get them?
Should I just remove the wheel, bring it to a tire place, tell them to replace the tire (it's worn anyway)and measure the stems on the other ones and tell them to replace it with one of the same length? Call me picky but it's been bothering me everytime I see that side of the car I have that ugly Firestone tire with three Cooper tires.
