Hi guys,
Just spoke with the technical guy at Boyd Coddington and he told me I can use 17x8 with 5.5 BS all the way around. I am looking at using the Boyd Coddington Smoothies with either Nitto or BFG rubber. Do you guys think 17x8 will be a problem up front?. What about 5.5 BS all the way around?

Input as always welcomed.

Update:
The car will come off the body this week and the frame will start its restoration with a complete new susspension and brakes. Global West all around, new QA1 coilovers in the front and Wilwood 6-piston fronts and 4-piston rears.

Man it seems like you have everything figured out and plan to do it the right way also. I would love to see pictures as your project progresses. That wheel should work without a problem. I am not very familiar with the 64-67 but i know they would work fine with 68-72 and big meat. I would guess you would be safe with those wheels and some 255's

Have you gotten to fit those Smoothies yet? I was thinking of getting those for my 66.

Did you you ever get your site up? graemlins/waving.gif

I could be wrong but 5.5" backspacing sounds a little extreme. 4.5" sounds like a better choice for front and rear.

I agree with Clint, 5.5 is a little too much! 4.5 should be just fine.
