Anybody try these. I can get them dirt cheap in the sizes I need. There designed for a 5/8" stud. Will they work with 7/16" studs if I use the proper 45deg lug nuts? I don't see why not.

In my experience Bart makes on of the best stock car wheel available. I ran a set of rims from another manufacturer and the offset was different on every wheel. They were off about .250" on each wheel.

As far as the lug nuts I don't know if they will work or now for sure. However, If the holes are for 5/8" they will probably be at least .650". The Hex on a standard lug is 3/4" and so I would guess the lug nut would bottom out before the taper would seat on the rims. My $.02.

I would use the stock car lug nuts, they have the special 45 degree seats, but I don't know the outside diameter.

What do most of the Gbody oval cars use for lugs? I doubt they swap to 5/8 studs. Maybe 1/2inch at most.

Thanks

I know this is dumb questions, but I just have to ask it -

Why are these wheel "circle track only". From what I can see they are both light and strong, and I would think that if they could stand up at the track the should work on the street.

There - I got it out of my system. Thanks for any replies.

I use Aero wheels on my El Camino. They are not street legal because they don't have the bump on the inside of the rim, This helps hold the bead on if you hit a curb etc. As far as lug nuts go, I have 7/16 studs and the wheels have 5/8 holes. Go to your local stock car place and get the special lug nuts made just for this. I got mine from a place in Greenwood Ne. They were $.80 each. As the wheels are lug centeric, you must make sure you get the nuts centered as you tighten them. I have only 2000 miles on them but so far so good. Just my experience GL
