Will a 15x8" wheel fit under the back of a 70 nova? If so what back spacing? If not whats the biggest wheel/ tire that will fit?

I would backspace it 5''. I have a 15x8 with 5.5'' on the back of my '72 and it seems I need about a 1/2'' wheel spacer so the sidewall of the tire doesn't scrape the frame on flexy turns. I'm running a 255/60 BF-G in the rear and it seems to work great (if not for the rub on the inner sidewall). If you used a 15x8 with 5'' of BS and a 255/60 you probably would be golden. You might even be able to go a little wider on the tire if you did a little under side wheel lip crimpping.

[EDIT]: A 245/60 and smaller would fit with no problems at all.
