It has two metal straps (vertical straps) that look like they may have been used to secure the top and bottom of the cores. Are these straps just for shipping and can they be removed? If its a brass copper rad the straps held it together when it whent trew the furnce for brasing of the core .. headers get tapped on later then soldered on .
