I believe that the tab for the trans mount faces forward, Correct? - I took out a TH350 and am putting in a 200R4 - I think the PO had it in backwards when they put the exhaust in they pinched it towards the tunnel right behind the X-member - Well, Now I need to flip it around to get the X-member to clear the trans pan (tab facing forward) and my exhaust is not cooperating. :mad:

Just verifying that I am thinking corectly.

I had to modify my exhaust as well. Previous post (http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=310124) Again, I like the 2004R.

when i recently replaced the Powerglide in my 66 with a manual I had to turn the crossmember tab to the rear for the shifter to clear. the tab is still in same location but the shape of the crossmember now clears. have driven it quite a bit with no complcations.
