: 64~65 Need Vent Window Measurement cromedss Apr 20th, 10, 4:30 PM Need to get the vent window opening measurement between the skin and the inner door. My aftermarket vent seals look a little short where the vent sits on on top of the door. my opening is currently 1 1/4". I just measured my '65 El Camino doors and got 1" across the vent window area and 1-1/4 where it steps out for the roll down window. I should note that on my drivers door the two tabs that tie the inner and outer together are still welded to eachother, but one of the tabs has broken ( fatigue ), yet it's clearly visible that when I squeeze the panels to eachother, the split ends butt up perfectly and the gap measures 1" the whole length of the vent opening. My other door appears to have broken at the spot weld... I'm guessing your tabs have been compramised too causing the panels to spread to 1-1/4".
