Hi all
My El Caminos engine temperature warning light bulb needs to be replaced.
What is the quickiest method to do this?
Is the a way to this without disassembling the whole instrument panel?
Thanks in advance.

You can pull the 6 screws from the dash pad and pull it out. Then you have access to the back of the gauge cluster from above. Pretty tough to get your hand in there from below.

Thanks Hank, thatīs done already.
My problem here is how to get the bulbs away from the cluster (sweep type speedo). There seems to be two separate blocks with bulbs, one on the right ant the other on the left side of steering column.
How am I supposed to pull (if they are ment to be pulled:confused:) them out?
I donīt want to crack the plastic...

They're a quarter turn twist lock socket. Rotate the socket counter-clockwise, looking at the back of gauge cluster. Should pop right out.

No, they are not.
The speedo and heater lights are quarter turn twist lock sockets but the warning light sockets are not. They are straight pull-offs, but first you need to pull the blocks where the sockets are. That was the harder part.
Anyway, problem solved. I pulled the whole dash and then it was easier to access the bulbs...

Glad you got it taken care of. Do you have a sweep dash? I have a round SS dash, in fact it's on a table in the basement right now. All the bulbs are twist-lock type sockets so maybe the sweep dash is different.
