I put a 72 4door trunk lid on my 71 2 door and the driver side of the lid sticks up and the passenger side is flush with the body. Did i miss something during install or does this not fit 2 doors.

Sounds like it's twisted. Put a 2 x 4 under the passenger side at the trunk opening above the bumper and push down on the drivers side - it will twist it back into shape.
