72SScott Jun 11th, 02, 12:49 PM Hey guys just got the velle painted and need new wheels and tires. I want to go 15x10 on th rear and 15x8 in the front. I got air shocks in the rear and new coil springs up front. What tire size should i go with and if anyone has any pics could you post them. Thanks for the help. Scott
blaauboer Jun 12th, 02, 5:37 PM You need 15x10 with 5.5 back spacing and a 295/50/15 will be the right choice for the rear tires. Here's a pic of my 70 with that combo,Good Luck ,Scott.

blaauboer Jun 13th, 02, 7:40 AM Whatever is standard,Just ordered a 15x8.I have 2 bran new 15x8s ,Make me an offer,I put the 8 all around with the 295/50s out back and they rubbed,So I had to buy the 15x10s with the 5.5 BS to fix the problem,I took off all the torqes and put on weld pro stars,So I have a total of 6 ,4 all mounted still,265/50s up front and the 295s out back,I want to keep all the mounted ones But will sell the other 2 15x8s.I put 235/60s and 325/50s out back this time,WOW they look GREAT , The 325s look brutal on the car......Talk to you later,Scott.

West72Chevelle Jun 14th, 02, 3:38 AM Scott, how did you fit 325's in the back??? What size is the rim?
blaauboer Jun 14th, 02, 7:28 AM 15x10 with 5.5 BS ,I had to cut the inner quarters out and in a couple of spots bang my frame in ,I cut to much of the inner out so I had to fab in some tin ,To cover the holes in the trunk,I know a couple of guys that have 325s on there cars and didnt have to cut or mess with anything,Other than trimming the outer lip.The wheel size is the key,Scott.

72SScott Jun 14th, 02, 12:05 PM I dont want to have to cut anything or do any banging. Maybe i should go with 15x8 in the rear and 15x7 up front. With the 15x8 in the rear will i still need a 5.5 inch b.s.?? How uch ya want for the two 15x8's???
West72Chevelle Jun 14th, 02, 4:41 PM Think you can get a pic up of those 325's man? I'd love to see them.
blaauboer Jun 15th, 02, 12:39 AM 72ss,You have to run 15x10 with 5.5 BS,The 15x8 with 5.5 wont center your wheel,The 295/50/15 WILL WORK PERFECT with NO cutting,I had to do all the cutting for the 325/50/15s to fit not the 295s,Dont buy 15x8 all around you will be buying 15x10s soon after if you do.........
