I have a 69 convertible that was originally Cortez Silver with a black top and parchment interior. It is currently black with a white top and really bad crushed velvet interior. My question is, has anyone seen a car with the silver/black/parchment combination? I want it silver but my wife likes black.

If your wife likes to micro-polish all the haze out every year she gets a vote. :D
The silver is a sharp orig. color, especially with the black top! Don't recall ever seeing one with a parchment int. but sounds interesting.

Yea, lets see some pics. I say stay with original IMO, beautiful combo.
Just a side note:
Helped a friend out redo a 68 Beaumont SD and it was like a mint green with red interior and thats the way it came out of the factory.

But always keep wifey happy. Happy wife, life good. Unhappy wife, you all know.

I say.....bring it back to original....especially since this combo is very rare. I have been looking at 69` Chevelles for ever and can honestly say I have never seen this color combo.

When we bought or 396 car back in '97 it was dark gray and in need of a paint job. We had it put back to the original Cortez Silver. We felt the car really needed the D96 stripe to accent the sides so we added it as well. Ours has the black interior, but yours should look fine too with the parchment interior. The '69 we bought new was also silver so I am a little partial to the colour. Base/clear with a good polish looks pretty nice ;) http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2797172860101686729xnNZiu
