New guy here, needs help on 70 conv. What is the story on modifying coupe wheelhouse or do they make different ones for my conv? I am getting different answers.

Bcool Apr 19th, 10, 12:43 PM Unless I am mistaken, the convertible wheel well has a softball sized "dent" where the hydraulic cylinder needs to be positioned and the hard top does not. They are even different from Cutlass, Skylark and lemans. Unique to the chevelle convertible. 72soft-top Apr 21st, 10, 11:36 AM It's alot of additonal work to install the "complete" wheelhouse. Mine was OK on the top side so I opted to buy the coupe versions and cut off the top and lap weld it. When it's done, you won't be able to tell the difference. Those convertible wheelhouses above are quite pricey in my opinion. | ||
