Hi all, I installed my seats three times, just tacked the brackets lightly. My brackets are the two piece per side, long an short. I am using the Buick perf demensions , But my pass seat is sitting forward about 1/16 " to 3/32" .Are the factory holes off ? ,I'll leave it like that ,I don't want to drill holes in the floor pan its very clean. Before I finish weld it , has other people had the same experince? Or am I just being to picky. But it is coming along well. Its a 70 by the way. Pat.

Biggest problem I had was when you slide the seat all the way back it was hitting the seat belt retractor, had to make some adjustments after the fact to fix that. But I never checked the front to back measurements.........seems close enough for me.

i put the bolt in the rear outer hole and used the long 2 bolt braket on the inside of the seats and the small bracket on the outer front with seat all the way back sat in it and (scooched it) around till i felt comfortable with steering wheel and alignment .
Then had my b-in-law make sure both legs on seat were even (front to back) then had him tac them while i sat in the seat. then did the same on passenger side and just eyeballed it no measuring etc and they came out real nice and even and no hitting seat belt retractors (used the bench seat ones).

in my 66, I mounted the outboard hole on the seat track to the inboard hole in the floor.
This kept the seat from hitting the seat belt retractor.
When all of the brackets were located-----I measured a 67 GTO for bracket replacement
and found I put the brackets in the right spot----all measurements between the GTO and my Elky were within 1/16" .
Seat is centered behind the steering wheel

Yes I am using the oe rear bolt hole in the floor pan , and I am using the outer holes in the seat track. I don't want to drill any holes in the floor pan, its in very good condition. Just wanted to see if any one had the same results/prob, Wish my X diden't make me get rid of the bench. Maybey the bench was crocked to and I just diden't notice it ,I guess I am being to picky.
