I am wondering if these will actually fit my rims. I went to a tire shop and they said that the 275/60R15 would only work on a rim up to 9 inches wide. I have read that some of you use these on your 10 inch wide rims. So will they work and does anyone have a picture of your 10 inch wheel with this size tire on it so I can see how it looks.

The Yokohama tire size spec sheet says the approx rim width for a 275/60-15 is 7.5-9.5".
That's not to say they won't fit 10" rims.

I dont have any pictures but I have 275/60's on my 15 x 10 pro stars. Its fine I thought it was going to be a poblem looks great. I wouldn't worry about it.

Gandolf80 has 275/60's on his ride (with pictures) do a search on him.

Good luck…

so will 275/60R15s mounted on 15x8 work on a 72 skylark (4dr if that matters), that is dropped about and inch (via coils)? I need a fit that has no interference at all...
Thanks

I'm about to try that same tire in a BF Goodrich, 275x60x15 on a 8 inch rim under my 67. I think it is going to be tight!!!!!

I have 275/60/15 on the back of my 66 SS, you can see a couple pictures on my website. http://66chevelless.com/photo.html
They clear the lip with a little room to spare but I wouldn't go any larger myself!

I run 275/60/15 on an 8" rally and have tons of room to spare. The rims have a 4.5" offset. I am currently using a BFG drag radial. I also have a 3" exhaust system, so it's really near worst case scenario. I have a little more than an inch of clearance on the inside and over 1/2" between the tire and quarter.

"gorbe" has them on 15x8 SS wheels on the rear of his beautiful Cortez Silver 70. They fit great and look even better. Do a search on him and check out the picture links in his sig.
