I am installing an Edelbrock fuel pump that has 3/8" NPT threads on the outlet. I am using the Edelbrock braided fuel line to connect the fuel pump to the fuel filter and the Edelbrock hard line kit to connect the fuel filter to the carb. Is it OK to use teflon tape to seal the 3/8" NPT connection between the fuel pump outlet and the braided fuel line? Any advice would be appreciated.

I would use a liquid solution for that. Permatex makes thread sealers that are good for fuel, cooling and hydraulics.

I have used the high temp sealer for many applications. I usually put it on the threads, starting about two threads up from the bottom and spread it on with a finger. Let it sit about 15min then torque it down. I believe the sealer is fully cured within 48hrs.

I used Permatex #2 Form-a-gasket on my Eddy pump, no issues.

Permatex certainly makes good products, but FWIW in this exact scenario I used Loctite 567 on my fuel system threads. I had a stubborn fuel weeping situation and couldn't take it any more. This product nailed it right away.

I believe I have read not to use teflon tape with a gasoline application. I have done it for years with no problems so far though. remember if you are talking about AN fittings on your braided line that it is the flare of the fitting that seals against the adapter that is required to go from NPT to AN. So you DO NOT want to put any type of sealer on that connection.
