Anyone have or know of any 15x6 American
Torq-thrust "D" spokes. I don't want the new ones now available - only the old ones.

What is the difference? I'm considering Ds' for my elky and didn't know that they are different. I've seen wornout Ds' at almost every swap meet.

There is a difference between the original Torq Thrust D and the reproductions. The original wheel is refered to as a crows foot and has a different shaped spoke, there is also more lathe cuts on the origianl wheel, the new wheels are cranked out as fast as they can make them, the originals are a much nicer wheel are are highly sought after. A origianl wheel is worth $250.00 plus each.

Not all Torq Thrust wheels are Ds even though most people call them that. The Torq Thrust wheel is probably the most copied wheel there is, not all of them were made by American Racing. there was M/T, Fenton, Appliance, US Wheel and many others that had a Torq Thrust style wheel and each one has an identifiable trade mark made some where in the wheel. At a glance they may appear to be the same but there are differences.

I'm running Torque Thrust 200S model rims, very similar to the D's, however uses a round center cap. Had 14"s on front, 15" on back, but just scored another pair of 15" on ebay Here's a pic: http://abacus.sj.ipixmedia.com/abc/M28/_EBAY_4d0d54bced4f96f29934e30b86/i-1.JPG
