DUKE 69

Guys,
Working on my '69 and doing some detail stuff. My old trunk mat has had it and I need to replace it. Are the resto house mats basically the same in terms of thickness, backing, etc? I can't remember where I got the one I have now and i guess I wondering (hoping?) if the quality has changed at all. TIA for any and all input!

I hope you don't get one like I have ('69). It's supposed to be correct but fuzzes up really bad after some use. I've bought 3 of them over the years and they're all the same. I haven't checked recently but I believe there's another rubber mat available now that isn't quite as correct but much more durable. That's the one I'd get now.

I bought one from The Parts Place Inc last year and it seems to be holding up fine.

As Von stated, there is an incorrect rubber mat that holds up real well as compared to the filmsy correct mats.

Thanks for the replies so far. The question now is....who has the more durable one. Durability is more important to me than "correctness". I'm going to Carlisle next week and would like to pick one up. GU and Ausley's will be there for sure andmaybe someone else who deals in Chevelle stuff. Thanks again for the info.

I like the ones ground up have. They are not the foam rubber kind.

Hinshaws has the rubber type, it is much better than the fuzzy one.

I just got one from Ground Up and it's rubber, not the foam rubber one that falls apart or gets stuck to the trunk floor.

I would not use the rubber trunk mat, you would be surprised how much moister that will collect between it and the trunk floor.
