Could someone let me know if this combination would work on my 65.

Front: 14 X 8 rims no offset with 215 60's
Back: 15 X 8 rims no offset with 255 60's

I really want a meaty lookin' tire on the back that can give me some tracktion and a little taller would be ok too.
I got a good deal on these rims and would like some opinions, and yea I know I would have a hard time rotating tires but that's the least of my concerns right now.

Thanks!

No, The 15X8 with 4" backspacing and a 255 tire will be right out by the rear quarter wheel lip. An 8" rim should have a 5" bs to center it in the rear wheelhouse. The front will be close to the edge as well. The front should be at least a 4.5" backspace to fit better

I have 17X8s w/5" bs on my El Camino and the fit is centered in the rear, the front are the same rim and are out close to the fender lip.

Your rims will be 1" farther out than mine and I believe you will run into rubbing problems.

For the rear, you want 5" backspacing on a 8" wide rim, or 4.5" backspacing on a 7" wide rim.
