I have a set of American Racing 200s series wheels that came on the car. Is there a way to tell how large your rims are without taking off the tires and measuring. I am gettin a new rear end and hopefully some new wheels to take car of my rubbing problems. I am running 265/60/15 series tires and they rub real bad on the fender. My current remedy is to pump up the air shocks, but i don't like the look of the stance. How much backspace can i have on a 70 chevelle with a stock length rear end? Thanks

5.5 inches with a 15 inch wheel.

6.25 with a 17 to 18 inch wheel as it will go over the shock mount. You have to be certain your axle is centered under the car to go to 6.25 inches otherwise you will need to only go 6 inches.
