: Wheel refinishing??

I've got a set of vintage American Racing 200S rims (very similar to the Torque Thrust model), however the centers had been previously painted. Any suggestions for cleaning these up ie: powdercoating, or would repainting be a better option? Don't want the whole rim to be colored, just the center part. Here's a link to a pair I just picked up, which are identical to the ones on the car, except now I can have 15" all the way around http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

Sid,
If it was me, I'd have all four bead blasted,
Then polish the outter rim, with a polishing wheel.

Sid,
If it were me I'd have the centers painted dark grey, or black, with a semi gloss finish, to make clean up easier.
Deffinately cool looking wheels.
I really like "Period Correct" looking rims on our cars. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
