Can you imagine how many hours were spent doing that?
Doesn't look too bad except for the super traps sticking way out the back!

How can he possibly sell that for only $4000? Must have alot more than that in it.

The Hurst Hairy Olds was a 67 442 with 2 blown big blocks connected thru Tornado transaxles. It ran in the late 60's - early 70's. The only picture i know of is from the model box - www.442.com/collect.html
Saw it twice - once in Pomona and once in Vacaville back when we had our onw track many moons ago

Now, now, guys. Don't get too excited about the price. If you look closely, $4000 is the current bid, and the reserve has not been met yet. For all we know, the guy has a reserve of $20000 on the thing. Nevertheless, its pretty wild!

Pretty crazy car. Mike is right about the 455's though, Maybe a couple of 502's in my 66 will liven it up... http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

Whatt a waste of time and money!
Besides it rides to high for my taste. Looks like a 4x4! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
The guy needs to redirect his spare time and money into resurrecting a real chevelle.

Nice looking car. Wonder what it does in the quarter mile? No use having two engines if it doesn't translate into considerable more speed and power. And how does he get fresh air into the rear engine intake?

If it runs 10 sec. ET's, I'd be willing to offer $12K for the car (if my better half would let me).

I bet this car is mainly a show car, thats probably why he used the Olds 455's. They fit the transmission where as Chevy engines would require an adapter; and he probably got the engines with the transmissions. For a Chevelle it would probably be cooler with 454's.

It sure would be a neat setup in my 442 though! By the way Johnny Lightning has a Hurst Hairy Olds out now.
