OK guys, I did a search and didn't come up with anything nor found anything going about 5 pages deep. Didn't want to be redundant. I'm goin to a swap meet soon and need to find a guestimate on what to ask. Not looking to make a fortune. I purchased a running 454/TH400 (out of a 1980 dualie) from a guy who parts out trucks. The truck drove just fine but had back fees. I know the person who sold it to him and know it was a driver.

Anywho, I have a set of PP 236 heads dated '80, the Q-jet intake, The Q-jet and a TH400 tranny.

The tranny shifted great. I was told by a buddys dad who deals with them freequently to ask $400-500. But is somone who doesn't know me goin to trust my word going want to pay that much? If the intake doesn't sell I will throw it in the scrap bin and give the heads to my buddies dad for future bargaining leverage.

Does anyone have any ideas on what to ask?

on the peanut ports, you'd be lucky to get 50 bucks for them, at least around here. Stock Q jet intake, with smog, 8 cents a pound? q jet, maybe 15 to 20 bucks. Used trannys are kind of hard to price, most folks will consider them cores, To me its worth more to keep as a spare, because nobody will pay all that much for one. And when you need to replace it, your going to find most of these "rebuilt" trannys need work.
Our swap meet prices are probably on the low side, but you'll find the guys asking higher prices, usually haul the parts to every swap meet and never seems to sell the stuff.

Ok, guys it's setteled. The, carb and intake are going into the scrap bin at work, the Heads will be $50OBO and the tranny I will try to get a couple hundred out of. technically the tranny and engine aren't mine. I purchased them for a buddy who isn't very mechanically inclined and am parting out what he doesn't need. So we are recouping the cost to purchase it. Then what ever the ballance is on his tab after parting it out, is what he owes me. Confusing? You bet!

Just hold on, Christopher.... There's always somebody who'll buy a Q-jet on Ebay or Craig's list. The problem is the shipping, they're heavy... Otherwise I agree. The intake is scrap if you can lift it into the bin...l:)

Rich, I will probably try to get some pocket change for it. I have a new Jet Stage 2 Q-Toilet that I don't want let alone have a core laying around. So if it doesn't sell ill set it on the edge of the scrap bin and somwill will most likely snag it.
