I want 15 x 8" vette rallys on front but I'm also upgrading to 12" disk brakes. Will rallys clear the brakes?
Also, this sounds stupid, but I want 275/50s up front. What all would I have to modify to get this? What backspacing should I go with?
I like em wide!

From what I have heard, the 15X8s should fit not problem (assuming these are the B-Body 12 inchers-don't know about aftermarket setups).
As for running the 275-50 up front... I think it might be too tight on the 15X8... Close though...
I am running 265-50s with 15X7 ralleys on the front of my 66, and it is okay... Some minor rubbing of the center/outer wheel well (inner fender) bolt, and hit the swaybar under full lock (didn't notice it, but paint rubbed off...
The 15X8 have a different offset, and that tire is just a bit bigger...

What a coincidence...I bought a set of 15x8 Vette rally wheels many years ago for a 70 Monte Carlo and today I was seeing how they'd fit in the rear since there's room for a tire almost 12" wide if it's centered up in the opening. The Vette wheels have a different backspacing from the 15x7 rally wheels, and the bad news (for me) is that the backspacing is in the wrong direction. The 15x8's will barely, if at all, allow a 9" wide tire in the rear without rubbing the fender lip whereas the 15x7's could be used to fit a 10+" tire. I know you're concerned with the front and 12" disc brakes, but I saw your post and thought I'd let you know what I ran into. I have no idea if all 15x8 rally wheels have the same backspacing or not. I think you'll have problems with the tires making contact with the fenders. I'd strongly suggest trying a 15x8 wheel and tire on your car before buying anything. If the tire's not the size you want you could still take some measurements to get an idea of what might work. I'm getting ready to run a search to see if it's practical to have the backspacing changed. I love those wheels.
I just read another post on Vette wheels where they talk about a 4 1/2" backspacing and tires fitting. I think mine are about 3 7/16", so I guess that explains why they are too far to the outside.
