I'm in the process of deciding on a set of wheels for my 65 and was wondering if anyone has a picture of their car with 200s Americans that they could post. I think I've narrowed it down to either Torq Thrusts or the 200s wheels. I have seen a lot of cars with the Torq Thrusts but not many with the 200s. The picture doen't have to be a 64 or 65.
Thanks

Jeff,
I went through the same thought process as you when I was looking for wheels for my '65. I went with Edelbrock 409's because I think they look better than Torq Thrusts, they have the right offset and were cheaper (I don't think they are available in 16" or 17" though). I went to America's Tire Store, asked them if they could beat Summit's price, and they did by 10%. There is a picture of my car in Info Xchange under the 1965 category. The fronts are 15x7's and the rears 15x8's. I have yet to see another Chevelle at a show or cruise with the same wheels.

I have the 200s wheels on my 77 El Camino. They are 15x8 and I think they look great. The car is painted Corvette torch red. I wanted the crager SS look but without the problems of unilug. They are a bit pricey for what they are but I think they look good. I had machined finish clover/flower mags on a red 74 Monte back in the 70s and that was what I was trying to get. I don't have a digital of the car but I will try to get one and post it.

Geez I thought putting 200s on my Camaro would be a little different than everybody else http://www.chevelles.com/forum/rolleyes.gif I guess I am off to look for more wheels. Anyone need a deal on 17 inch AR 200s? Now wait a minute my Camaro sure looks good with 'em I guess I'll keep 'em. Wish I had a pic to show but little evil is in storage.
Dale That orange crate ( http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif) of yours sure looks good. http://personal.clt.bellsouth.net/clt/m/g/mgervin/smilies/glasses.gif

That's why I went with the 200S wheels. Reasonable cost and they're a bit different than the Torq Thrust II's that are so prevalent. Thank you kindly for the the nice words on the GR8PMKN. Looking forward to Nashville again this year.
