are the z28 wheels that look like ss the same size? i found a set for 250.00 i think they are 15x7 i want to put a wide tire all the way around. how wide can i go on my 72 with those wheels?

The rims are basically the same other than some minor cosmetic changes where the trim rings attaches. As for the price, it seems a little high, unless they have trim rings and they are in good condition. These rims are very common, they came on almost all late 70's Z28's. Check out some large swapmeets you should find them in the $100-150 range for a set of 4.

I have the Z28 wheels on my wagon. I have 275/60/15 out back and 225/60/15 in the front and gives the car a pretty good natural rake. I believe somebody is running 275/60/15s all the way around without rubbing.

If you find some rims, try and get them with the center caps, if not, a set of centers will set you back $75 or so. At the swap meet yesterday, a guy was selling the complete rim for $25 w/Z28 center.
