Pats66elky Apr 19th, 02, 2:49 PM I just got a set of centerlines from a person and I really am not going to want to keep them if they are not going to fit.They are supposed to be going on my 65 elky. The rims actually measure 9.7 wide and they have a backspace of 5.0 ". I wanted to ask the pro's out there. If they are going to fit, what tires do I need.I do not want to cut any body work to stuff them in. On a 67 I know people running a 28inch tire with no problems, if that helps? I have to unbolt my shocks to get a 275x60x15 ON A 3 3/4 backspace wheel under mine. My rearend is narrowed 1 1/2 inches. It's still tight.
