: rims on '69 for 30x12.5x15 ET Streets??
smokumchevy Apr 16th, 02, 5:24 AM After running 30x12.5x15 ET Streets on 8.5x15 w/5.5 backspace Weld Draglites, and having to use spacers which sheared my studs off I need to get proper rims on there.
Anyone running these tires on a ladder bar with coilovers non tubbed setup in a '69 ??? What rim size and backspacing are you using??
Thanks in advance,
Greg, aka:smokumchevy

SS540 Apr 23rd, 02, 6:54 AM Blown 68,
I will be interested to know if the 13.50 x 30's fit. I am considering a set for mine when the BFG Drag Radials wear out. Do you have the rear of the car jacked up at all? I'm thinking it will be real close and probably rub at stock ride height.

It's a BIGGER block!
smokumchevy Apr 23rd, 02, 3:36 PM Thanks blown68,
Pls, if at all possible let me know how it fits up.....
Could you tell me what brand & model tire your using in the 30x12.5x15's ?? I need to look up their dimentional data to compare with the ET Streets..
As SS540 asked, what suspension are you running, and if I may, what rear end set-up.
We don't have anyone local knowledgable here in my area and am tired of shoot and miss situations.
Also, if your using stock rear end... do you have a 1/2" offset to the drivers side on yours??? I thought mine was screwed up or something but went to a scrapper today and all that erra in our body styles seem to be that way !?!?!
Thanks again,
Greg, aka:smokumchevy

the 30x12.5x15's were mickey t's ET streets .they're 30 in. tall with a 10.2 in. tread width.[i only got to borrow them for one run at the track]for daily driving,i was running the M/T sportsman 29x12.5x15LT's which are 28.8 tall and 10.6 wide[softer sidewalls made it rub on outer edge on hard cornering]after those wore out at a import car show burn out[buddy's told me i had to show those imports how its done!]i now run TA's 285x70SR15's which are 30 tall and around 11 in at the sidewall bulge.[no rubbing at all during daily driving]the rear end is a 12 bolt 3.73 Strange gears, stock lower arms, adjustable upper heim joints, stock springs and shocks with no name brand[came with car].i think its stock height,13.5 inches from axle center to wheelopening lip.[let me know cuz i'm just starting to work on the rear to get it to get better 60 foot] i do have a half in. offset with the stock rear end.[don't feel bad, those 200,000 dollar porsches are worse!]this rear end so far has held up for2 years behind 600 ft lbs.
