well, done it again. doing about 60mph on highway, slow down, foot off the gas due to a backup on the exit ramp, idle goes way down and engine dies. cranking, but that tired tired cranking sound. give it a ton of gas and it fires up, but dies shortly. did that a few times, and kept foot on the gas to keep rpms above 1000.
noticed while on the highway, my water temp was 215, i remember it always being about 200 on the highway.
got to some red lights and put it in 2nd and it wanted to stall and die. finally got it to the parking lot and it idled fine while sitting there.
just wondering if a solid roller lift cam just isn't made for running for long distances like that? not sure if that makes sense, i have the initial timing at 18*. not sure what the mechanical advance is.
could starter heat soak cause this? TIA
