hey guys, i have a malibu that i am planning on swapping the sweep dash for an SS. the current wiring and harnesses for the front lights and blinkers are pretty worn out. I was looking on American Autowire and it lists a "V8 with factory gauges" or "V8 with warning lights". And then there's the ALTPI??? not sure what that means.

so should i get the factory gauge harness? or the warning lights one, seeing that i plan to switch to the SS dash, but probably not for a year.

If you're going to switch to a gauge pod SS dash, and put gauges in them, you'll need the "V8 with factory gauges" version. You *may* need a different engine harness to mate up to it correctly, but I'm not certain on that.

In the interim, your existing dash won't work. Theres quite a few writeups about idiot light SS dash conversion to Gauge SS dash conversion, but I haven't seen much on the sweep to SS gauges.
