Ok, I can't get this temp sender to seal up in my thermostat. It's not the unit itself, but the adapter itthreads into. Tried teflon paste and tape, and still leaks after shutowd when pressure builds. Hope its not an imperfection in the casting. Any suggestions?

Between the adapter and the sender itself? Hold the adapter with a wrench and with a second wrench turn the sender one more flat.

It's leaking from the adapter to the t-stat housing. I'll see if she'll tighten it down some more.

permatex makes a high temperature thread sealant, good for fuel/hydraulic and cooling systems.
Bad thing is it takes about 72hrs to fully cure.
