: Wheel and Tire Combo's that work?

I have a 66 Chevelle with a ten bolt (I understand that they are narrower
than 12 bolts?) and have a set of BFG P275/60R-15, Comp T/A Drag Radials
that I want to run. Does anybody have this set up? I'm wondering what size
rims I need to buy to make it work. I pretty much already know that I need
8 inch wide rims but I would like to know what offset or back spacing people
have had success with on theirs.

Thanks, Lance

A 66 10 bot will be the same width as a 66 12 bolt. There are two width rear ends for 72 and earlier A-bodies, 64-67's used one width while 68-72's used a rear end that was 1" wider. I have a 67 with 275/60/15 McCreary tires on 15x8" 4 1/2" back space Weld Drag Lites. They fit perfectly. I have about 1/2" clearance inside and out at the widest part of the tire, with no fender lip modifications.

Thanks for the help. I guess I'll go with the 15 x 8's with the 4-1/2 back spacing.
