Whatever you do, please don't put anything bigger than 17" wheels on it, and don't choose gunmetal, or polished lips, or 2 tone, just get some nice looking shiny wheels.

Any year Chevelle looks particularly nice with 15" - 17" Cragars, TT's, etc. :D

How does keeping an open mind have anything to do with my preference in wheels for this guy's car? :p

I`m with you on the 17":beers:.NOT for me.My son wants me to put 18s on it and I think it would look like S##T.I like the old school look with fat black walls and small rim.I`m leaning towards rally with red line tires. Not sure.Thought maybe some members would put up some pics of their cars to compare.

My kid convienced me to go even bigger , 20's and 18's. Said "old school is for old farts" Heck I'm not even 50 yet so he out smarted me! Was like this...

You have what I like, slot mags. Polish those up, get hub centers, nothing looks as good as polished aluminum, IMO.

In that case, there are a few companies that sell remakes of the rally wheels. You can find most, maybe all of the GM rally wheels online, in various widths and diameters.

I think that unless you are ready to shell out some serious coin, the biggest readily available size of 15" redlines 225/70/15.

You might be better off just buying the rubber you want, and stripe them or have them striped. By the way, your car would look really nice with redlines and rallys.

I like Chevelles with Cragar SS, Torque Thrusts or similar ol skool rims. 15 in also.

Draglites look kinda nice and like a serious race car. The slots look really nice pollished.

Ok, so I am 57 and trying to relive youth with the Chevelle. But I have 18 in on the Bullitt, and 16 in on one Fox, as well as the wifemobile and truck. And to mix it up, I just got some 17 in with MT Drag Radials for the Bulllitt. Did not get them for looks, but I like the fat tire look. I feel like they just make the different sizes so they can charge more. Also I notice that there are lots of 18 and 20 and 22 in new style rims for sale cheap on Craigslist.

They both look good ,BUT IMO the blue Chevelle looks better.I dont have disk brakes so I dont think the large rims would be the way to go.I`m with Clif cragars and TT`s are over done.My son has Prostars on his 66 Nova and around here everyone has them or Torque Thrust.I`m looking for something different.I`m thinking of rallys painted black with chrome rings and center caps and redlines .BTW I`m 52 so maybe I`m an old fart:D?

Yeah,I kinda like them too, but.I do have center caps on them. The were so rusty I sand blasted them and painted them black just to see what they would look like.

When he's at school one day I think I'll spend an hour and clean and install the old Centerlines just to see his reaction. Let him call me an "old fart" so I can take him down to the ground with my knee in his chest like my old man did me when I thought I was big enough to take him! OH THE MEMORIES :)
