Is there an equation to figure out the dimensions of tires by the sizes. I am running 265/50R15's in the back and 235/60R14's in the front. Any help would be appreciated.

To convert mm into inches times the section width by 0.03937 (ex. 235*0.03937=9.25in). Then to find the height of the sidewall multiply the section width (9.25in) times the sidewall ratio (60% or .60) [9.25*.60=5.55]. When you add the two sidewalls (5.55+5.55=11.1) and the rim diameter (11.1+14=25.1in) you get the total height of the tire: 25.1 inches. Hopefully this makes sense. If it doesn't see if you can get your hands on the July '98 issue of HOT ROD. It explains all this a little clearer than i can.

No equations, just calculations http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif
Why do the math yourself?
