I am still fighting with the going 295/50 on the back of our '69. The tire is too tall for what I am looking for. I want to stay with a tire in the 25-26 dia. range. Mainly because the original suspension and gearing package was designed around 25.5 dia. tires. Does anyone know of a company that offers say 305/45R15 or 315/40R15. I know that there is nearly an inch difference between the two in height, but they both fall close to my goal area. Or if anyone knows of an available tire size for a 15x10 wheel in the 25.5 dia. please let me know.

Why don't you call your local tire shops ?
My brother had 295-50-15s mounted on 15x7" Z-28 wheels, on his 74 Z-28, and they weren't as tall as my 275-60-15s on my car.
I do know that tires vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, meaning sizes are not consistant.
And I think 275-50-15s are plenty wide (8.9") and about 25.9" Dia.
