I'm using this image for reference:

I'm installing a new DB mini starter. I have a MSD Digital 6 with an HEI. I have a Ford solenoid.

1. What size wire goes from the "S" size of the starter to the "B" side of the Ford solenoid?

2. I don't have to wire into the "I" side of the starter?

3. I have "R" and "S" on my old starter. How is different?

use 14 g. you dont need the i circuit wire.use the s term on the sol if it has both

the way mine is wired is the battery cable to the A terminal on the f@rd solenid.
then another battery cable from the B terminal on the f@rd solenoid to the Batt terminal on the starter.
you don't say where the Battery is but the size should be 2-gauge or smaller gauge = a larger wire strand count and physical size.
install a 14gauge jumper from the Batt terminal on the starter to the S-terminal on the starter.
the ignition gets power from the original hot only with key "ON" wire (resistor-wire) from the wiring harness.

the R terminal on your old starter was for the coil to get more voltage while the key was turned to the "Start" position........

the Mad Electrical site has this wiring diagram for the f@rd solenoid also if you what to see it for yourself...

don't wire it up the way your diagram is shown.... good luck

I found this online.

Looks like they have a metal plate to short the battery terminal on the starter to the "S" terminal on the starter.

My battery is in the trunk.

Thanks

with a externel voltage reg. the vehicle will not shut off when the rear mounted master switch is opened (required by all tracks) wired this way.you can put a diode in line with the GEN lite. brown wire position 4 at the regulator.
