The wheels on my two 70 cars have been naked all these years since I've owned them. I bought NOS rings and it looks like I see too much wheel at the rear. There's about a 1/2 to 3/4" between rear edge and wheel. I guess I'm used to looking at 8" Corvette rally's that get most of it covered. The book said "these trim rings will not fit 14 X 6 wheels". Right or wrong rings????????

Are your wheels 15x8 or 15x7 For the 15x8 i ran into a problem locating the ones that were 4 inches deep not 3 inches deep i found out that you have to get original corvette trim ring, the down side is that they cost 169.00 for a set They have a small ring on the outside lip .

My wheels and rings are the original OEM pieces and there is about 1/2 to 3/4" of the silver/gray wheel that shows beyond the inside edge of the ring. Sounds like yours are correct.

That sounds like they are the proper rings.

2Blue,
If you have the stock SS wheels 14x7s the correct current GM part number is #09796919.

Thanks for the replies. I'll check the GM part number tomorrow. I guess I didn't word my question very well after I read it again. Both these cars still have the original 14 X 7 SS wheels they came with, but the trim rings are long gone.
