I have a 69 Chevelle. I am changing the rims and tires and wondering what is the biggest tire size I can go for that year. I have thought about putting 235 or 245 up front and maybe 275-295 out back. Anyhelp on this subject would be greatly appreciated

I have P295-50R15s on the rear, and P245-60R15s on the front of my 68 Chevelle. I've had P255-60R15s on the front at one time, no problems.

My 68 has had upto 325/50s on 15x10 wheels. The 295/50s I ran for awhile were on 15x8 rallys with 4.5 BS and they fit great. on the same rallys I ran 265/50 on the front. They did not rub but if you look at my pics you can see my 68 rides a little high in the front. You should be fine with the sizes you are considering. Good Luck http://www.chevelles.com/forum/cool.gif
A point to note back spacing for for 15x8s should be 4.5 inches and 15x10 should be 5.5 inches for your car.
