I've looked at all I care to look and I keep coming back to the satin auto drags! question: the 15x10s have a 4.88 inch back space- what is the max tire, both width and height i can stuff in a 71, I dont mind rolling the wheel well lip. I've read the past files and realize the 5.5 backspace is the ticket, but what can I get with the 4 7/8 inch backspace on this type of wheel?

I have a friend that is using a Hoosier
QTP 29x14.50x15 on a Weld Draglite 15x10 5"
backspacing...1972 Chevelle. He did have to
trim the chrome wheel opening moulding some
and bang-in the inside wheel well a little but it fit....no rubbing either.

I have MT ET Streets 28x12.5x15 on Centerline Warriors 15x10 5" BS and I have room without any modifications. I'm moving up
to a 13.5x15 and I will probably have to do a
little trimming.

Five(5)inch backspacing on a 10" rim should
give you the max inside/outside clearance.
