: where to take measurements?

Hi guys, I have a set of rims that I think are 15 x 10's with slicks already on them. I am almost possitive that they're not the correct BS for the chevelle so I was going to sell them. I wanted to know what is the best way to measure these things? Which surface should I measure to a correct BS measurement? The mounting surface to the brake assembly would be my first guess

thanks guys.

Your guess would be correct. Backspacing is the inside mounting surface (against the brake drum) to the inside edge of the rim. Lay a straight edge accross the rim inside edge and measure down to the inside mounting surface.
